The College of Europe, Natolin Campus (Warsaw) is seeking applications for the position of two 6 months Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships with a starting date of January 2012. The post will be created within the framework of the “EP-Geremek European Civilization Chair” founded by the European Parliament in honour of the late Professor Bronisław Geremek.

We are looking for graduates with:

· doctorate, preferably in History,

· demonstrated interest in the field of recent European history with a special focus on “Europe in

the 20^th century: from division to reunification”,

· proven track record of research in the area of recent European history,

· very good command of English and French.

Tasks include:

· undertaking research activities conducting to a high level scientific publications,

· contributing to the activities of the EP-Geremek European Civilization Chair,

· providing academic support for students undertaking Master Thesis related to recent European history and European civilization.

The College offers:

· excellent academic setting,

· six month contract under Polish law,

The candidates will have to prepare a research project of maximum 5 pages related to recent European history, with a special focus on Europe in the 20^th century.

Bourses de recherche au Collège d'Europe, campus de Natolin (Varsovie)

Le Collège d'Europe, Natolin Campus (Varsovie) offre deux bourses de recherche postdoctorale d'une durée de 6 mois. Les bourses, accessibles à partir de Janvier 2012, seront accordées dans le cadre de la Chaire de Civilisation Européenne, fondée par le Parlement européen en l'honneur du Professeur Bronisław Geremek.

Conditions à remplir:

· doctorat, de préférence en histoire,

· preuve d'un intérêt dans le domaine de l'histoire européenne récente, concernant surtout « l'Europe au XXème siècle : de la division à la réunification »,

· expérience avérée en matière de recherche dans le domaine de l'histoire européenne récente,

· très bonne connaissance de l'anglais et du français.

Tâches :

· poursuivre des recherches menant à des publications de haute qualité,

· contribuer à des activités de la Chaire de Civilisation Européenne,

· apporter l'appui académique à des étudiants préparant leur mémoire de maitrise sur des sujets concernant l'histoire européenne récente et la civilisation européenne.

Conditions :

· environnement académique stimulant,

· contrat (selon la loi polonaise) de 6 mois,

· travail en milieu international.

Les candidats sont demandés de préparer un projet de recherche de 5 pages maximum portant sur l'histoire européenne récente et surtout sur « l'Europe au XXème siècle : de la division à la réunification ».
